It's not always easy,
fixing the world...

Is it?

DON'T WORRY

My practical DIY manuals come with thorough troubleshooting sections to minimize mishaps like the one above.

BIGGER QUESTIONS

Then there are touchy matters with immensely more at stake than sawing into your own sofa:  For example, averting planetary disasters, or mending societal fractures.  Don't expect 1-2-3 DIY handbooks on such global challenges coming any soon...

Guilty or not — and aware or not — and wanting or not — we are all sucked into these sorts of problems together.

WHAT CAN ONE DO?

Lots, actually.  But let's leave those options to be tackled in our daily jobs — and in our choices at the voting polls.

This brings us to our leisure activities:  Yes, the prized moments for relaxation and decompressing can be transformative, too.

How?

Simply by temporarily replacing politics or bad news with something calming, uplifting, and humanly universal.

For many, the "me-time" often includes a good book.  Unfortunately, in my case, the supply of satisfying ones has dried up sooner than anticipated.  I couldn't find another workaround than writing a few page-turners myself...

Well..., that's not how I imagined spending my pastime.  Yet here we are.

How about you?

No no no, don't worry:  I am not suggesting you should become a novelist.

You can simply recline, unwind, scroll further down, and grab one of my mellow yet not shallow novelettes — then have tons of fun.

I mean it.  Real fun.  Because there is a wide void between scholastic sociology, prognostic futurology, and hilarious comedy.  A blank so spacious it can host an entire storyworld of its own.  Things happen there, from the serious to the funny, as in our own histories.  The difference is that my book pages take you into archives you never knew existed;  behind doors that never open for ordinary citizens;  and it will be the protagonists to face excruciating dilemmas, not you:
